Print making flag using a collograph made from cardboard to create an image.
This flag was created by a kindergarten student on a 8.5" x 11" cotton piece of fabric. The student drew their dream in crayon and later used fabric dye to add color . The crayon creates a wax resist. To aid in drawing I taped the fabric to their folders to keep the fabric in place. The crayons are very easy and are fun to use on the fabric. The student then verbally told me their dream and I wrote it for them.

Quilted Dream . The student used a piece of fabric 8.5" x 11" as the base. Next they created an image of their dream to accompany their poem. The poem was written gel pen on cotton fabric. To make sewing easier we used chenille needles. This project was created by third grade students. As inspiration we used the artist Faith Ringgold.
