I dug over a patch of soil and hid prompts from the story as well as other rhyming pairs in the soil. I also hid jelly worms, which once covered in soil were quite convincing. Whilst the children were digging I prompted the rhyming pairs, facts about worms and also referred to the story. Later we read the story together singing the superworm song whilst clapping our beat. A great participation event, this went down well with my group.
