The staff at Long Creek has spoiled her, one example is they make her a cup of coffee and cut up her breakfast pastry every morning. She suffers from arthritis and her hands don’t move very quickly in the morning. These care givers of the staff treat her with respect and as one their own family members. She suffers from arthritis and her hands don’t move very quickly in the morning. These care givers of the staff treat her with respect and as one their own family members. They call her by her name each and every time they interact with her.
They have created a loving and cheerful environment for all that enter into Long Creek. We receive routine updates & pictures of my parents engaged in daily activities. We’ve chosen to use a primary care physician who makes on-site visits and a pharmacy that has a relationship with Long Creek, the whole care experience is integrated.Perhaps the one experience that would best sum up Long Creek would be when my father suffered a medical situation that caused him to be hospitalized for a few days. They have created a loving and cheerful environment for all that enter into Long Creek. We receive routine updates & pictures of my parents engaged in daily activities. I never thought I would have to find a new home for my mother. She is one of the strongest women I know. I never thought I would have to find a new home for my mother. She is one of the strongest women I know. However when she broke her hip in March, bouncing back was not as easy as it was when she had knee replacement or broke her other hip a couple of years ago. She made the decision she couldn’t live alone after being home from rehab within days. She asked me to find a place for her close to me.
Looking back, that fear is almost laughable now. Hollie and her team have become family for both my parents and for us. My parents joke with the care givers, and they joke right back! We laugh at the front desk about the funny things my parents do, and at times cry together too.From the front desk, to the medical director and care givers, to the activities director and onsite physical therapist, the team is enthusiastic and skilled. Looking back, that fear is almost laughable now. Hollie and her team have become family for both my parents and for us. My parents joke with the care givers, and they joke right back! We laugh at the front desk about the funny things my parents do, and at times cry together too.From the front desk, to the medical director and care givers, to the activities director and onsite physical therapist, the team is enthusiastic and skilled.
